ADAA The Art Show

Erik Lindman

Booth C12
Park Avenue Armory, New York
November 3 - 6, 2022
Benefit Preview: November 2, 2022

Peter Blum Gallery is pleased to be participating in ADAA The Art Show with a solo presentation featuring new and recent, mixed-media paintings by Erik Lindman (b. 1985, New York, NY). Repurposing found materials, the artist's process-driven practice creates multilayered and tactile, non-representational paintings.

“At the end, all we are left with are these motifs to recycle, regenerate, refine, breathe new life into in order to continue on.”

— Erik Lindman

"In Lindman’s works there has almost always been a prize at the center, something retrieved from elsewhere then repurposed within, providing a subject, figure or contrast with the surrounding frontal plane, be it painted or another surface."

"In Lindman’s new paintings, fugitive patches of color seem to filter through a scaffolding of pasted fabric and metal elements. Up close, there is evidence of further working beneath the thick paint: previous layers, built up, scraped away, and built up again."
